Mahindra Logan Review

Mahindra Renault Ltd (Mahindra and Renault’s 51:49 JV) is introducing Logan in India. Renault Logan (also known as Dacia Logan) is a robust, reliable, economical mid-sizer. It has very good space and comfort is good too. Logan coming to India is stripped-down version of European Logan and will have very basic features only. This car is expected to do good in rural areas where Mahindra has better reach. This car will attract prospective Esteem/Indigo buyers and will succeed in breaking many of them. It would be very good option for people seeking a basic, reliable, contemporary sedan. Mahindra all models i.e.GL, GLE/DLE and GLS/DLS.

Eco-Friendly:

Renault has been honored with the most prestigious 'Environmental Management for Sustainable Development' award by the French Government. This award recognizes Renault’s international deployment of its Environmental Management System. This system reduces the impact of the vehicle’s activity on the environment. Renault recognizes that every car leaves an everlasting impact on the environment throughout its lifecycle. Its acoustic performance places it below the threshold set by the European directives.

Safety:

When it comes to safety Logan leaves nothing to chance. As a result Logan received three stars in Euro NCPA tests, Europe’s most prestigious safety rating. The car is equipped with several life saving innovations like the honeycomb dashboard. In the event of a head-on collision, the dashboard collapses and absorbs the impact of the crash, making Logan one of the safest cars on the road.

Design:

Logan, with its understated elegance and discerning style, is truly a treat for your eyes. With a contemporary and robust silhouette, strongly marked wheel arches, firm lines and a sculpted hood, it surely is a head-turner. The triangular headlights soften Logan’s overall looks, giving it a distinctive look. The expansive interiors are elegantly done. You’ll not find a single element out of place. Think it looks great? Wait till you feel it.

Technology:

The Logan technology offers you the best of both worlds. Thrilling dynamic performance and effortless, relaxed driving pleasure. Its impressive 1.5 dci common rail diesel engine offers you loads of power at low revs. Combine it with the 50 litre fuel tank and you can hit the highway and go places. Its hydraulic power steering, advanced ergonomics, sophisticated suspension combined with thrilling acceleration and agile handling results in an ultra smooth ride, that’ll want you to keep driving the Logan. Its digital technology and advanced acoustic engineering helps provide those inside a sublimely calm environment.

Logan battery:

Logan has powerful bettery. However, Mahindra has kept all the details secret as of now but if we believe that this is the same car as being sold in some European countries then we have got a little to talk about here.2630mm of wheelbase would be a class-leader and will provide ample legroom in front and rear both. 510 liters of boot-space would be more than adequate. Renault’s engineering and Mahindra’s dealer-network should give fantastic after-sales-services and reliability.1.4L, 76ps Petrol engine’s performance would be good enough unless they tune engine too much for better fuel economy. Car should have performance figures similar to that of Maruti Esteem With a top-speed of 155-160kmph and 0-100km in 13-14 seconds. Fuel economy for this car should be in 10-15 kmpl on city-highway roads.1.5L, 71ps Diesel engine too is good enough and is far better than its closest competitor, Tata Indigo. With a top-speed of 150-155 kmph and 0-100km in 16-17 seconds it will really be a boon at the price it is expected to be offered. This car should give 12-17 kmpl on Indian city roads/highways.
